Barnyard Hammer is an analog rock n' roll outfit based in the California Bay Area. The band plays original songs that move from heavy and high energy, to somber and stripped down.

Barnyard Hammer was first conceived in rural New Hampshire, where two brothers from a musical family electrified and expanded upon the folk/bluegrass that so regularly echoed from their living room.  When lead singer/songwriter/guitar player Jon Blachly moved west, the energy behind their original music followed and a band naturally formed around him.

While a band member filled the role of stable master at the non-profit Presidio Riding Club, it was here within the Golden Gate Recreation area, a designated National Park, that they developed their current sound.  Calling horse stables their home, they came together some time in 2016 with an emphasis on original songwriting and progressive arrangements.  With influences ranging from blues, rock n' roll, folk, bluegrass, indie rock, etc., the bands signature analog sound has been described as nothing short of original.  Focusing first on honing their live performances at bay area local dives and some of San Francisco's most established venues (Bottom of the Hill, Slim's, Boom Boom Room), the band is set to debut their self-tilted EP in the fall of 2017.
